Basic rules:
- Voting is based on the overall brand, not the individual model or sample photo.
- There are no rules on how you should choose, but you are welcome to civilly debate quality, value, heritage, etc.
- Voters are encouraged to look at the hashtags for threads on individual brands or visit their sites.
- Poll closes apx 11PM ET 6/23.
- Be respectful of all the brands and members, even if the vote does not go your way. This is meant to be lighthearted fun to raise awareness of 32 microbrands.
- Ties will go to the brand with the most unique user-owned photos of their watch.
- Good luck and have fun!
My 2 cents, and this is my view as a Traska owner who hasn't handled Kurono Tokyo, but I love my Traska not only for the incredible build quality but the subtle way that it innovates on what are somewhat standard designs (explorer-style or OP-style) without copying them, adding their own flourishes like this very interesting middle cutout in my forest green Summiteer here. Also, you have to respect a proprietary hardening process, and this sucker looks about good as new despite trudging around the Amazon with it.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Poll closed for the tournament. Congratulations Kurono Tokyo!
it’s bonkers that it was even that close. Hajime Asaoka is maybe one of a handful of truly independent watchmakers. Many leagues apart.
Interesting that days after polls closed Traska fans rallied.
If I was to own just own one watch from either brand I would buy the Taska but being that I have a collection of watches I like the look and style of the Kurono and know that it is something a bit special coming from a truly independent watchmaker that is not mass marketed.
