Micro Tournament Round 1 Day 1: Norqain Vs. Atelier Wen

Rules: • Voting is based on the overall brand, not the individual model or sample photo. • There are no rules on how you should choose, but you are welcome to civilly debate quality, value, heritage, etc. • Voters are encouraged to look at the hashtags for threads on individual brands or visit their sites. • Poll closes apx 11PM ET 3/14. • Be respectful of all the brands and members, even if the vote does not go your way. This is meant to be lighthearted fun to raise awareness of 64 microbrands. • Ties will go to the brand with the most unique user-owned photos of their watch on this thread. Good luck and have fun! I didn't know either brands but from a quick research I voted Atelier Wen because I like the Chinese traditional vibe and the craftsmanship looks really amazing, I mean look at that hand made dial 🤯

I would be happy to see Norquain knocked out in the first round.

Tough choice…but I like styling of Atelier Wen more (even though choice is quite limited with all models sold out). I also like Atelier Wen approach to describing their watches - all details are listed (sizing, design, etc.). Not often you see brand so focused on product description. Just look at below

  • 40MM (DIAMETER) X 40.4MM (FROM WHERE THE LUGS START SLOPPING DOWN) / 47MM (FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE LUGS)(LUG TO LUG)

  • HAND-BENT RHODIUM-PLATED (HEAT-BLUED FOR THEY GREY DIAL) HANDS WITH SUPERLUMINOVA BGW9 X1 LUME

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Norqain.

What a day. Monta and Norqain are both good quality watches but are so overcapitalized and marketed to death to watch enthusiasts. Solabs and wen are relatively small, scrappy brands and deserved better.
