Finally I got my Solarbeat Tank 👌🏽

lovely piece. but a Tank belongs on a strap, with a metal bracelet the case shape would get lost in all the metal. So try it first on the fake leather ;)

I’m still confuse d about the status of the Solarbeat. Last I checked, it was not even listed on Cartier’s website. Is it really available now?

Congrats. I got mine 2 days ago from an AD too.. loving it, but the strap seems a bit short. I am still getting used to the size.. Large is small in Cartier’s world. My wife asked why I bought a ladies watch 😅?

That's great to hear!  I'd really like to see some wrist shots. The closest Cartier AD is several hundred miles away, so it's not practical for me to get to try one on, and I'm not sure if it would be appropriately sized for my 17cm wrist. 

It is not small when I compare it to the JLC reverso, but the first impression is ‘‘this watch Is small’, but it is just magical when I put it on…

Intrigued by the solar beat technology, it seems different some of the other solar battery charged systems like eco-drive. Capacitor holds the charge. 
Anybody have the answer to any of these question:

1. How long until the watch stops if put away from light
2. What is the service interval like and can just the capacitor be swapped out or is it closer to a new movement.

Congrats!  I’m really impressed with this watch, from design to execution. I never would have figured Cartier would try for a solar-powered watch, and when I saw the headlines I thought, “what are they thinking?!”.  But when I dug into the details, I appreciated that it wasn‘t just faithful to the Cartier aesthetic, it looks indistinguishable from any ‘normal‘ release from the brand. It’s at once completely at home with the rest of the brand’s history and also a very interesting new direction. I happen to think it doesn’t look great on my own wrist, but I still love the watch and look forward to what Cartier might do next along these lines.
