The fly in the ointment with your Bertucci is the polar white hour and minute hands. (The seconds hand is a good design.) They are just the wrong colour for the warmer white dial. Gold hands, yellow hands to match the hour markers or even orange hands would pull it all together better.
One thing that I remember from The Millionaire Next Door is that the most popular car among millionaires in the Chicago area at that time was the VW Jetta. We had one for six years and it had a really well-designed suspension that made it ride like a bigger car but they are so ubiquitous that nobody would suspect that you have money (which we don’t).
Absolutely. The small negative display on the CasiOak is hard to read in anything less than good light and taking a few seconds to start the app is faster than using the buttons. Also, I’m old school and wanted the analogue dial. If the functions of the GBD-200U are something you want, then it’s a tough choice.
If you are considering the CasiOak, I recommend the Bluetooth version for ease of using the functions. The inset digital display is small and using the phone app is much easier than manipulating the buttons. I chose the Caution Yellow version as my wife’s Christmas present to me and then filled the pusher button functions with white paint for legibility. I am happy with it. This is how it looks on my 7” wrist:
Tissot deserves to be in the Enthusiast or Entry-level Luxury category, IMO, and TAG Heuer more properly belongs in Entry-level Luxury, but as always, I could be wrong.
