Hey all, happy to join the community here, as I have lots to learn, and mostly the way I can enjoy these wonderful machines is vicariously through other enthusiasts who can attain some of these masterpieces. I have a small collection of mostly gifted quartz analog, and a couple Casios, but I was recently curious so I looked on eBay with an innocuous “mechanical watch” query and down the rabbit hole I went. I found an intact vintage Seiko 5 that didn’t appear to be tampered with and I just got it in the mail yesterday. I must have had the back off it a dozen times since then admiring the movement. It feels odd to wear as it’s smaller than I expected, compared to say my GA-100 that I wear at work, but I am in love with it. its also the first watch I’ve ever had with a bracelet, I really enjoy that.
Well anyway, nice to meet you all, I look forward to learning and drooling lol.
Also, my name is Kyle, not Adam 😉
