How you charge your solar watches?

I put mine in a clear glass of water to prevent overheating, and put them in direct sunlight

Works better in blue plastic to stop algae growth.

Here is an article where different techiques were measured scientifically. This idea that submerging for liquid cooling was safer than the risk of overheating was not addressed.

I place them in  a sunny window. No water and haven't had one "over heat".

The water method is a bit unusual.

At first I though that was a Petri dish full of bacterial growth.

Excessive heat will damage the battery.  If i leave my watch in direct sun even indoors, it will overheat. I've never had a watch get warm using the submerged method.  I don't like using artificial light.

Great idea!

Cool read! Living in Florida, all I have to do is wear my solar powered watch once, like… ever, and it’s fine. I’m literally never concerned about charging it up unless I store it in a dark place for months at a time. Otherwise, I assume it’s always at full charge, because it probably is! 😄
