Yobokies website question— feels shady!

Hi! I was about to buy a dial for a project i’m working on from the yobokies website. When I was finishing the order, it is sending me an email to then click a link to finish payment. Now it’s likely this is just a quirky site and it’ll be fine, but I wanted to check with this group to make sure that’s what worked for them too? So much internet fraud these days, and i hate to send my info and money somewhere shady. Thanks mod-community!!

Years ago I ordered there, it was the same awkward process but it all went perfectly fine.

I've never done it, so I don't know the process, but people have been talking about that weird experience for 15 years.  I've never heard of a negative outcome.

They've been around for years, they probably haven't updated their CRM software.

When Yobokies ('Seiko Boy' backwards) first started, he didn't even have a website. He would share images of his parts to Shutterfly, and we'd have to email him to buy. I've bought a couple of dials from him, and they showed up. It's awkward, but you can trust the site.

Thanks!! I’m facepalming a bit at not recognizing the origin of the name… but I also just placed my order. Will share pics of my build when it’s done. First time doing dial and hands… wish me luck!

It better be something in a 36mm case 🤔

Follow-up— I clicked back to the yobokies site as directed by the ‘shady’ email, logged onto the site, and was able to pay. Paid extra for shipping and the dial just arrived!
