Haven Watches— anybody have one?

Hodinkee had done a story on this brand a few months ago, and i’m really intrigued by this watch. I feel like i’m always a bit skeptical of being pulled in by too much hype and marketing, but the watches look solid, I like their style, and I do like what I see on their website and instagram in terms of their approach and philosophy. Anyone seen these in real life? Any feedback or experiences? Thanks!

I can’t speak to the brand as I haven’t purchased or handled any of their pieces, but read the same story and thought the original Chilton plucked the right strings for me to perk up. That being said, the watch featured here sorta hurts my soul, haha. The off-center logo at the 10:30 mark, the 4 o’clock date window, the dark black hands on a brown dial… it’s definitely a distinct design.

Not here to yuck your yum - different strokes as they say. If you do snag it, be sure to share your experience - would still be interested in the Chilton down the road. 🤙

Thanks bevelworks! It is definitely an odd watch, but I Love the rust color, and the bracelet is certainly unique and unlike anything I have.

I've been wanting a Chilton since I first heard of them, but it wasn't in the cards, and as far as I know those are still sold out. Weston (the owner) is an English professor at a small private university here in Fort Wayne, Indiana (where I also live), so it almost feels like my duty to buy a microbrand that's based in my city. I don't know him well, but I've met him a few times, and we have mutual friends/colleagues (ex-colleagues in my case). From what I know, he is a stand-up person. All that said, my one gripe with Havens is the bracelet he chooses to use. I have no idea why that thing is appealing. I think it's hideous, and the idea of shelling out a couple hundred dollars more to get one I like does give me pause when I think about buying a Haven.
